Get ready to taste deliciousness, by that we mean blueberry, pomegranate, dark chocolate and sandalwood. Bright cherry and raspberry flavors carry through the rich, smooth finish, with a lingering pop of spice.
We approached making this wine with wild abandonment. With many grape varietals at our disposal, we tinkered with a little bit of this and a little bit of that, throwing all preconceptions about which grapes should be blended together out the window. The result is an unusual blend of many different grape varieties that is uncommonly delicious.
This balanced wine will pair with a variety of roasted or seared meats, including lamb, ham, duck, beef, or heavily spiced chicken. A cherry sauce on the ham or duck would pair nicely, or pan-seared pork chops with apple sauce. Vegetarians might enjoy pairing this wine with roasted root vegetables and mushrooms.
About the Label
This label was a collaboration between our Director of Winemaking, Mica Raas', kids and artist Kayla Johnson. Mica's children have grown up in the winery and often pass time drawing or watching cartoons in the office while Mica works, sometimes patiently and sometimes not. Kayla was inspired by their fearless approach to art one day and decided to help them see the possibilities of what could be done with that creativity. The result? A masterpiece of modern art, if you ask us.
